A man in his 60s has been arrested by Police are allegedly trying to coax a 3-year-old girl away with the lure of sweets in Freshwater this morning (Friday).
The shocking incident is said to have occurred in the School Green Road area at around 08:30 whilst the child was being taken to school.
It is claimed that a male asked the young girl if she wanted to leave her father to go and get some sweets and go shopping with him.
Even more disturbingly, it’s said the male thrusted his hips towards the child.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has worked swiftly through the day to identify and locate a suspect.
It has been confirmed that a 61-year-old man from the Isle of Wight has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to take a child so as to remove them from a person having lawful control.
This is very worrying I have my own 3 year old Granddaughter & I would give my life to protect her, & the thought of anyone taking her makes my skin crawl. Why do they act on their disgusting abnormal urges. You can never reduce the risks of a paedophile.
