Police and a single fire crew responded to Calbourne this morning (Thursday) after a lorry left the road and ended up in a hedge.
Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at around 10:15 to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the B3041 Calbourne Road.
The incident saw a lorry leave the carriageway ending up on its side resting against a hedge.
Police attended the scene, with a single fire appliance from Newport also in attendance.
No injuries were reported.
Island Roads also attended the incident to close the road at around 11:00 whilst the vehicle was recovered.
UPDATE – It has been confirmed that the vehicle – a water tanker – has been recovered by Stag Lane Motors.
