This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

Monday 21st April – Friday 25th April
• Andrew Downard, 30, of Snowberry Road in Newport, admitted 2x theft from a shop. He was handed a £21.24 compensation order.
• Joshua Green, 35, of No Fixed Abode, admitted theft from a shop and 2x attempt theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay compensation of £33.92.
• Samuel Moulder, 36, of HMP Wakefield, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker. He was handed a 21-week concurrent prison sentence.
• Esmee Hicks, 21, of Wilton Road in Shanklin, admitted drug driving. She was handed a 28-month driving ban and fined £269. She was also ordered to pay £108 surcharge and £85 costs.
• John Sangster, 55, of Station Avenue in Sandown, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker. He was fined £346 and ordered to pay compensation of £50. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £138 surcharge fee.
• Joann Poll, 45, of Albert Street in Ventnor, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker. She was handed a 6-month conditional discharge.
• Darren Cook, 39, of Cockleton Lane in Cowes, admitted possession a controlled drug of class-B. He was fined £350.
• Jason Whittam, 50, of Downsview in Sandown, was found guilty of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. He was handed a 2-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £1,692. He was also ordered to pay costs of £300.
• Khalid Parker, 18 of Lower Furlongs in Brading, admitted fail to give information relating to the identification of the driver/rider of a vehicle when required. He was fined £350 and saw his licence endorsed with 6 penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £200.
• Anthony Davies, 36, of Conway Road in Stoke-on-trent, admitted 2x breach of a non-molestation order. He was handed a 12-month community order with 10 rehabilitation days attached. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge fee.
• Jake Dunkling, 36, of Carisbrooke High Street in Newport, admitted possession of a controlled drug of class-B. He was fined £40.
• Robert Ford, 44, of Church Road in Wootton, admitted 2x drug driving. He was handed a 12-month community order with 15 rehabilitation activity days and 100 hours of unpaid work attached. He was also banned from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge fee.
• Barnaby Money, 45, of East Hill Road in Ryde, admitted drink driving, driving without insurance and driving without a licence. He was handed a 12-month community order with a 4-month alcohol treatment requirement and 100 hours unpaid work attached. He was banned from the roads for 25 months and fined £120.
• Benjamin Gothard-Smith, 43, of Mitchell Road in Ventnor, admitted 4x theft from a shop. He was ordered to pay compensation of £47.49.
