A late-night verbal altercation in the street led to the arrest of a Ryde man last night (Wednesday).
Multiple officers descended on the St John’s Road area, near West Stores, at just gone 22:00.
It followed reports of an argument taking place.
A 24-year-old man from Ryde was arrested at the scene on suspicion of common assault and threats to damage/destroy property.
He remains in custody at the current time.
