Keert, the Island’s only ultra low emissions logistics service, has announced a new partnership with Voi, the e-Scooter and e-Bike rental service. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing sustainable transportation options for residents and visitors on the Isle of Wight. Voi, which recently took over the Isle of Wight contract from Beryl, offers electric bikes and scooters for public rental via the easy-to-use Voi app or the Solent Breeze Transport app. Users can conveniently pick up these eco-friendly vehicles from various locations around the Island and return them to designated bays after use. To ensure the safety and reliability of these bikes and scooters, Keert will be responsible for battery changes, safety checks and ongoing maintenance. To access the fleet of Voi scooter and bikes, Keert uses their ultra low emissions e-cargo bikes and e-van, making sure the whole Voi operation on the Island is sustainable and working towards the Isle of Wight’s Net Zero by 2040 aim.
The partnership will initially focus on Cowes, Newport and Ryde, with plans to expand the service across the entire Island in the future. This expansion will provide more residents and tourists with access to affordable, clean and efficient, transportation options, reducing the island’s carbon footprint and promoting sustainable travel. Matthew Whittaker, Director at Keert, says:
“We are thrilled to partner with Voi and support the growth of electric bike and scooter services on the Isle of Wight. “By ensuring that these vehicles are safe and well-maintained, we are contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for our community.”
James Bolton, general manager of Voi UK, adds:
“We’re very excited to have launched on the Isle of Wight and it’s fantastic that we’re able to support a local business.” “We look forward to working with Keert to make sure our e-scooters and e-bikes are safe, available and in good repair so as many people as possible can benefit from them.”
The new contract with Voi has also enabled Keert to hire additional paid staff, providing more job opportunities for local residents.

Who says the Island has a “Net Zero by 2040 aim”?!?
We want more emissions not less!
What a load of rubbish, the island encourages diesel vehicles
places like London don’t want DIRTY Diesels on their roads,
hence having to pay extra parking fees when parking a diesel
vehicle.
Get a used EV, they can be purchased quite cheaply at present.
The island will never be Net Zero, the Numpty’s running the show
don’t understand the first thing about the climate.
Fewer not less. Strange comment though
So the workers are supposed to wobble about, exposed to the elements, whilst Councillors, MP’s and those “ Do as I say, not as I do” types will swish past in luxury warm comfortable cars which our taxes fund.
The breeding masses pretending to be single parents will swan around in BMWs paid for by us and drug deals by the invisible’ undeclared partner.
Jog on.
Crikey, you really are on a mission, aren’t you
Expand across the entire Island, I very much look forward to them coming to Brook.
I wonder how they have disposed of the beryl scooters and bikes, hopefully in a responsible way and not to landfill.
I bet the people riding them have nor got driving licenses, they are a motorised vehicle.
