Compassion, dedication and excellence took centre stage as Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust celebrated its Healthcare Heroes, recognising staff and teams whose commitment makes a lasting difference to patients, colleagues and communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Sponsored by a number of local businesses, the event coincided with the 78th anniversary of the NHS this month, and took place at the Leonardo Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.
Following a rigorous judging process, 70 finalists were invited to attend the evening, which highlighted the dedication, compassion and achievements of colleagues from across the Trust.
Neil Hayward, Chair, said:
“These awards give us a valuable opportunity to recognise colleagues who embody our CARE values – Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. They celebrate colleagues at every stage of their careers, from those just beginning their NHS journey to those who have dedicated a lifetime of service. They shine a light on inspiring leaders, unsung heroes and those making a real difference to patient safety, as well as recognising the vital contribution of our corporate support colleagues and the strength and impact of our teams”.
