Local fundraiser Jamie Hindson has continued his pledge to support Isle of Wight charities with monthly donations by giving £100 to Daisy Chains children’s charity this April.
The 34-year-old from the Isle of Wight attended an Easter event hosted by the charity in Brading, where he met with founders Mandy and Kellie.
Jamie says he was inspired by their dedication and the care shown by the organisation.
He has said:
“I was approached a while ago by a work colleague about Daisy Chains children’s charity and about the incredible work they do and the fundraising they put on.
“I went to the Easter event they put on at Brading. I met the owners Mandy and Kellie who were just amazing to meet – the work they do is just outstanding and caring.”
Daisy Chains is a local children’s charity supporting families across the Isle of Wight through events and activities. Those interested can find more about their work at daisychainsiw.wixsite.com/daisychainsiw.
Jamie has committed to continuing his monthly £100 donations until at least December 2025, supporting a wide range of charities, organisations and care services on the Isle of Wight. His goal is to make a difference to well-being, mental health and community care through small but meaningful contributions.
Previous 2025 donations include:
- January: Mountbatten Hospice, Newport
- February: Better Days Café, Ventnor
- March: Care in the Garden, Wootton
May’s donation is already in planning, as Jamie continues to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the community month by month.
