Arreton’s Isle of Wight Tomatoes has again been given the seal of approval as local food superstars in the latest guide to the best produce Hampshire and the Isle of Wight have to offer. The passionate producers, known for their award-winning tomatoes, are among 350 Hampshire and Island food, drink and craft heroes to be included in the Hampshire Fare Local Produce Guide 2024. The guide was officially launched by former England Rugby Union star Steve Thompson MBE, who is also a director of Gosport’s Powder Monkey Brewing Co. Steve said:
“Being involved with Powder Monkey and seeing it develop has been great for me, as someone who loves food and cooking, the importance of supporting local producers is paramount. Wherever possible I use locally produce, knowing the quality will be excellent.”
Katerina Loizos, of Isle of Wight Tomatoes, said:
“We are passionate, local producers and being part of a network of like-minded souls is invaluable to us. We are committed to our small patch of the UK and to be able to deliver our produce sustainably, grow locally and reduce our impact on the environment is so important to us.”
The Hampshire Fare Local Produce Guide includes the best of the region’s food and drink businesses, from chocolatiers, beekeepers, bakeries and breweries to farm shops, pubs, vineyards, and farmer’s markets.

Congratulations. Well deserved !
Its a real shame that these tomatoes are right on our doorstep but many locals are unable to afford them.. Why do they have to be so expensive They have no miles to travel to supply the Island…
What a stupid comment. Premium products cost more because they are better quality. These aren’t crappy Lidl’s tomatoes.
