ISLANDER CHRIS PHOTOGRAPHS PRINCE EDWARD AS PART OF 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

New images released of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, to mark his 60th birthday today (Sunday 10th March), were taken by Island photographer Chris Jelf. The images were taken at Bagshot Park and sees His Royal Highness smiling with his 3 dogs, Teal (labrador), Mole (cocker spaniel) a puppy called Teasel (labrador). King Charles III recently appointed his younger brother to the Order of the Thistle – the highest honour in Scotland. Photographer Chris has lived on the Island for the past 4 years and has shot members of the royal family before. The Duke of Edinburgh last visited the Island in May 2022 and before that in September 2020 when he visited the West Wight to thank local volunteers – as previously reported by Island Echo. In a post on his Instagram, Chris said:
