After 43 years of serving the Island, local business Island Computer Systems has made the decision to close its shop. Those in charge said the decision to close the physical store was not taken lightly. Since 1980, Island Computer Systems Ltd has been a cornerstone for technology enthusiasts, providing a wide range of hardware, software, and expert advice. While the storefront may be closing, Island Computer Systems has announced that they will continue to thrive in the marine and engineering analysis software realm as a Bentley Systems Authorised Channel Partner. From the 25th November, Island Computer Systems will exclusively operate online, offering Maxsurf naval architecture, Multiframe structural software, MicroStation CAD and training. To celebrate the legacy of Island Computer Systems Ltd there will be having a farewell sale starting 15th November. This will be an opportunity for customers to snag incredible deals on our remaining physical inventory and express their well-wishes. Simon from Island Computer Systems Ltd has said:
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Island community for the years of support and camaraderie. “As we embark on this new chapter, we look forward to continuing our journey online. Stay tuned for exciting developments as we embrace the future of technology retail.”
The doors will close at 16:00 on 24th November, signalling the final day of business at the Horsebridge Hill premises. The freehold premises at 41 Horsebridge will be available for rental, or sale, from 30th November. For existing PC customers including Microsoft 365 subscribers that require ongoing support from 27th November 2023, contact Dan or Danny at Island PC Services – telephone 01983 526006 or email: [email protected].

Shame as good guys, but understandable as costs will ruin most every business soon.
Best computer supplier on the Island and very knowledgeable team. Shame
