Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is investigating an incident which left a woman ‘distressed’ after she was followed by a man she didn’t know in Ryde earlier this week (Wednesday 3rd April). This incident took place at around 20:00, with the female first encountering the man on Star Street.
Police have confirmed that they visited the victim – who was left distressed – to support her. A spokesperson from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“Anyone with information or concerns about this incident is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting 44240140579.”

description? or is that too difficult or intentionally not published
Nutters everywhere, why do we have so many scumbags amongst us??..
It would be useful to have a little more information about the low life other than it was a man in Ryde. As lewd, troublesome males in this Town are not an endangered species, so more than one around.
Let’s hope this creature is caught and told off by the Police, for nothing else will happen to him.
Hope the poor lady is ok but since care in the community, and as the huge number of SEN children grow up to adulthood, then society is over burdened with people who would once had been locked up in secure asylums.
Mmmm okay and this is really useful thanks
Should be more bobby patrols in that area, it’s just round the corner from the police station.
What’s happening with the extra Council tax money we are paying them!
Awwww diddums,
poor lady left distressed best call the police because someboady raised their voi8ce.
I think the so called “victim” has already decided they’re a victim and are just acting out so they can have people feel sorry for them and help her fit her narrative
Why would you defend shouting at someone in a civilised society? I expect my fellow men to behave like true British gentlemen.
Words can be devastating when used in a deliberate, personally offensive, threatening manner. That this is so shouldn’t need explaining to adults here…. unless they are perpetrators themselves and resent the prospect of punishment.
It’s very distressing to be followed and not know if that person was intending to hurt you. You need to develop some empathy ,that woman has every right to feel safe
Wow! Read the room please.
Jason your just as bad you idiot
You must be a sad lonely old man with your two dogs for company no friends no family just very sad
Don’t know how women survive this day in age. best carry a weapon incase a man were to raise his voice. heaven forbid.
The woman is on UC o the Dole handouts from government for being a single mum, how she can play the card she has it so hard in life haha
You sound very odd to woman are you ok ? All was it you ?
Your total scum.
No.. YOUR total scum!!!!
It’s You’re, as in short for you are. If you’re going to insult someone, at least use proper grammar.
The lady is a family member of mine.
She was on her way home from work when this happened .You clearly do not know the women as your comments seem to indicate….
Even if a person was a single mother on Benefits that is irrelevant……
Is there any description of the offender???
Ok but no one else was around at that time weird because if I was around I would of helped or phoned the police
“Don’t care, dump them on the community strikes again.”
So many scum subhumans roaming the island, but they are everywhere.
This scum needs to be caught aa soon as possible, and strung up and thrown in the sea, as this what I would do if I knew who this scum was.
You’re sounding as dangerous as anyone you’re talking about.
Maybe it was. Some sad old man who doesn’t like females
I can understand how she felt to a degree,,,,,,,, as I wouldn’t want a loud mouthed offensive woman behind me who can be just as intimidating believe you me
