Strong winds on the Solent have resulted in the suspension of Hovertravel’s Ryde to Southsea service this afternoon (Thursday).
Both Solent Flyer and Island Flyer have been halted as a result of the adverse conditions.
Hovertravel say that an update will be provided at around 14:30, but it is unknown at this time if services will resume then.
All other cross-Solent services are operating to timetable.
UPDATE @ 14:36 – Hovertravel say services will resume at 15:15 from Ryde and 15:30 from Southsea.
UPDATE @ 14:59 – Hovertravel services are suspended once again and the next update will be at 16:00, despite advising that services would resume at 15:15.
UPDATE @ 17:30 – Services will resume at 17:45 from Ryde and 18:00 from Southsea.
