Hovertravel has suspended its Ryde-Southsea service this morning (Tuesday) due to technical issues with both of its Flyer craft.
Solent Flyer was due to depart Ryde at 08:15, but a technical issue has grounded the craft. Island Flyer is also out of service.
Wightlink’s Fastcat service is operating as normal from Ryde Pier.
The cross-Solent operator apologises for the inconvenience and says that an update is due to be provided at 09:00.
UPDATE @ 09:10 – Hovertravel has confirmed that services are to resume at 09:15 from Ryde and 09:30 from Southsea.
Passengers should note that services are unlikely to run on Friday due to adverse weather conditions.
UPDATE @ 12:41 – Adverse weather has now forced the suspension of the service, with an update expected at 14:30.
