Hundreds of homes are without water supply in Ryde tonight (Monday).
Island Echo readers are reporting that they have lost mains water in the Elmfield and Appley areas of the town.
Southern Water engineers are investigating the problem and are working to restore free flowing water to taps as quickly as possible.
There is no suggestion of any planned works on Southern Water’s website.
Standpipes have been set up at Cothey Way and at the top of Smallbrook Lane as part of the utility company’s investigations. Engineers are also present to the rear of Westridge Garage.
It’s unclear at this stage when the water supply will be restored.



























































































Likely the water mains are being altered to accomodate all the house building at Bullen et al.
Water and power services are needed to start the destruciton of thousands of years of agricultural history turning it all into tiny boxes for occupants to overfill and start the whole process again elsewhere.
Such is progress.
What is going wrong with southern water. Nearly every day there is some dirty of issue.
It looks like they are in free fall into oblivion.
