Island Line trains have been stopped from running between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head due to high sea levels this afternoon (Friday).
Safety concerns have been raised as a result of sea water lapping over the pier and onto the network.
All trains will be terminating at Ryde Esplanade until further notice. The network operator says that disruption is expected until at least 14:15.
Should have kept the steam trains.
