Police, fire, ambulance and HM Coastguard were called into action earlier this evening (Saturday) to ‘rescue’ a group of youths who had got into difficulty on the seafront in East Cowes.
It was at just after 21:00 that resources from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard were called to East Cowes Esplanade, following reports of a group of youths in difficulty.
Thankfully, upon the arrival of emergency service personnel, it was deemed that the incident was not as serious as first thought, with the response quickly scaled down and resources stood down.
Island Echo understands that the youths were quickly located and that, as a precaution, a few of them were passed into the care of paramedics for further assessment.
It is unclear as to just how the youths got stuck in the first place.
Time to bring back youth clubs, much safer for
everyone.
So, what was the problem? I’ve read the article a couple of times and the only clue is that they got “stuck”.
I was thinking same thing and had to read it….maybe an Advert got in the way or something but no….just lack of everything really
