GRITTERS OUT FROM 20:00 AS LOW TEMPERATURES PREDICTED OVERNIGHT

Gritters are set to be deployed across the Isle of Wight tonight (Thursday) due to the forecast for low temperatures.

Island Roads’ fleet will commence gritting on the usual main roads from their depot at Stag Lane near Newport from 20:00.

Bridge decks at Stag Lane and Foxes Road will also be treated.

Motorists are being urged to drive carefully.

They’ll still be out at 8 o’clock tomorrow night, because they have to keep stopping at temporary traffic lights, and taking diversions around road closures!
