Gritters will be deployed overnight into Sunday morning due to the forecast low temperatures across the Isle of Wight.
Island Roads’ fleet of gritters will commence a full gritting run on the usual main roads from midnight.
Motorists are being urged to drive carefully.

How much does cost to grit unfrozen roads?
I don’t know cost, but what I do know is treating a frozen road would be to late, the point of gritting is prevention. Google it.
Gritting won’t stop the idiots, drug and drink drivers will still be out on the road, along with all the other idiots…
