FOG BRINGS FRIDAY MORNING CROSS-SOLENT DISRUPTION

Heavy fog brought about significant travel disruption overnight, which unfortunately continues into this morning (Friday).

Red Funnel services were suspended last night as a result of poor visibility on the Solent, but both the Red Jet and vehicle ferry routes have now resumed operations. Red Jet services between West Cowes and Southampton are running with delays of up to 15 minutes, however.

In Yarmouth, Wightlink have been forced to cancel the 07:50 sailing to Lymington as a result of the fog. It is unknown at this time if any further sailings will be lost to the weather.
