Retained firefighters have helped 2 people lost in the dark and locked in at East Cowes cemetery tonight (Wednesday).
Firefighters from the town were mobilised to Kingston Road at 21:34 following reports that 2 drunk individuals were lost and appeared to be locked inside the walls of the cemetery.
It didn’t take long for the crew to locate the 2 inebriated individuals, who are said to have been cold and wet.
The duo were assisted back to the road and placed into a taxi that had been arranged for them.

Is this actually real? Next up, local residents get confused and lost within a garden, they were rescued by 2 firemen and a chip butty, before being tuckedd into bed. What the hell. Who paid for the taxi, why was this needed, how do you get lost in a graveyard?
you miserable old feckers, so what they had a bit to drink and got lost… better then having a fight and thieving is it not? i agree a small waste of emergency services time but no one got hurt and two people had a fun night 🙂
