Firefighters are tackling a property fire in Ashey on the outskirts of Ryde tonight (Saturday).
Island Echo is told that crews have been called to a residential address on Station Road, off Deacons Lane.
It is thought that the fire begun in a bedroom but has been contained.
Appliances from Ryde were mobilised at around 20:00.
UPDATE @ 20:38 – It has been confirmed that the fire was out on arrival.
The extent of the damage is unknown.
