Wightlink has confirmed that it’s FastCat service will return to normal tomorrow (Thursday) with 1 boat in operation, but the slower charter boat will kick start the day.
Repairs have now been completed to Wight Ryder II after the vessel struck a log in the Solent on Monday night.
Wightlink says that the Fastcat will return to service for the 13:15 sailing from Portsmouth Harbour. Until that time, a charter vessel will be operating all other scheduled sailings.
However, the 05:15 service from Portsmouth Harbour has been cancelled. With this in mind, the first sailing from Ryde will be the 05:45 and the first sailing from Portsmouth Harbour will be 06:15.
The cross-Solent operator apologises for the changes to your travel plans.
Its unclear at this stage if Hovertravel’s service between Ryde and Southsea will resume tomorrow following a significant technical issue this afternoon, which has suspended the service.
