A family locked in their own home were rescued by firefighters in East Cowes during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
1 appliance from East Cowes was mobilised to Haven Close on the Hawthorn Meadows estate at 01:27.
Retained firefighters used a non-destructive door entry kit to open up the access to the residential property.
The incident was swiftly concluded with the occupants all safe and well.
“Non destructive door opening kit”. A key??
Yes, so much easier with a key LOL!
Thank you loved your comment and laughed my head off.
I replaced the lock and to be fair the fire brigade did a great job of not damaging anything when removing the lock so hats off to them
‘Locked in their own home during the early hours of the morning’? How do you lock yourself in your own home and why would you only find out during the early hours of the morning? And is that normally the sort of thing you would call the emergency services to sort out?
One short news item and yet so many unanswered questions.
What a pathetic waste of resources. Why didnt they call a locksmith??
Or climb out of the window.
