With more wet and windy weather on the way, the Environment Agency has issued yet another flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast.
Thursday afternoon’s high tide at 13:58 will be higher than normal with Westerly Force 5 winds and moderate waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.47m.
The Environment Agency says that for 1 hour either side of high water, minor impact flooding will affect seafront roads, esplanades and car parks across the Island. Water will be high at Medina Road and the floating bridge but at least 10cms below the top of front doors steps. In East Cowes, road flooding will affect Albany Road, Well Road and Castle Street.
After this tide, conditions should then improve until the weekend, when Storm Dennis may bring rough seas.
A double weather warning has been issued by the IW Met Service for tomorrow morning and again for the coming weekend.
