Popular Shanklin spot Blueberrys Café has announced it will close its doors for the final time on Sunday 14th September, marking the end of an 8-year run for Liam, Claire and the team.
Located on the Shanklin Cliff Path behind the Winchester House Long Stay Car Park, Blueberrys is well known for its tasty cakes and bakes and scenic location.
Owners Liam and Claire Eede, along with their team, have thanked customers for their support over the years, admitting that the café grew far beyond what they ever expected when they first took over the small, family-run business in April 2017.
Plans were put forward to the Isle of Wight Council back in January 2023 to completely renovate the premises and build a flat on top of the café building.
In a statement, the team said:
“We are deeply grateful for your support and kindness throughout our time at Blueberrys.
“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone.”
While the café is closing, the team has hinted at a new venture in the pipeline that will still feature their well-known cakes, cheesecakes, and sweet treats, alongside some ‘new surprises’.
Customers are encouraged to keep an eye on the cafe’s social media channels for updates on what’s next.

A nice place, always welcoming.
My thoughts exactly. I am shocked they are
closing, it is packed to the rafters most of the time.
Such a goldmine, lovely location.
Only downside having to pay to park in a car park
that is bumpy as fcuk.
