Emergency services including the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are attending a road traffic collision between Ryde and Brading this afternoon (Tuesday).
At least 2 vehicles have been involved in the smash at Rowborough Lane, which has prompted a response by firefighters from Ryde and Sandown as well as the ambulance service and Police.
The incident occurred shortly before 15:20.
The main road remains open under direction.
UPDATE @ 15:40 – The incident is not as serious as first feared by emergency crews. As a result, resources are now standing down.
There are delays in the area whilst the 2 vehicles – a Citroen C3 and a Ford Focus – are cleared from the carriageway.
It’s thought a third vehicle has also been involved.
