2 men in their 30s have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and burglary following an incident in Ryde overnight.
Officers attended an address in Monkton Street shortly after 04:00 this morning to make arrests. This followed a report at 01:06 of an assault at an address in nearby East Hill Road.
A 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The burglary charge relates to an allegation that food was stolen from the address at East Hill Road.
All parties involved at this stage are known to each other, and the 2 men arrested remain in custody at this time.
