Over 114 postcodes in the Ryde and Bembridge areas have been hit by a power cut this afternoon (Tuesday).
Lights started flickering in homes and businesses at just before 14:00.
Now, Southern and Scottish Electricity Networks have confirmed that customers in Binstead, Ryde, Seaview, Bembridge and surrounding hamlets have been affected – PO33 1, PO34 and PO35.
It is understood a high voltage network fault is to blame, with repairs expected to be completed by 17:00.
UPDATE – Power has now been restored to all properties.
