Two of the Isle of Wight’s best-loved coastal hotels, Luccombe Hall Hotel and Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel, have been named finalists in the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2025, organised by Tourism South East.
Luccombe Hall is shortlisted for Small Hotel of the Year, while its sister property, Luccombe Manor, has reached the finals for Dog Friendly Business of the Year. Both hotels now join an elite list of tourism businesses recognised for outstanding guest experience, innovation, and warm Island hospitality.
The winners will be announced on Monday 9th December 2025 at The Grand Hotel, Brighton.
Steven Wells, Director of Luccombe Hotels
“We’re absolutely thrilled to see both hotels recognised.
“As an independent, family-run business, we’ve invested heavily to create experiences that truly exceed expectations – from exciting new facilities to industry-leading visual storytelling that showcases the Isle of Wight as a year-round destination. It’s a real testament to our incredible team, whose commitment shines through in every guest experience.”
Over the past 2 years, Luccombe Hotels has invested significantly across both properties – introducing facilities rarely found in small, family-run hotels. Guests can now enjoy a ‘Back to the 80s’ retro gaming arcade, a tropical experience indoor pool, and enhanced sea-facing rooms with private balconies or gardens complete with hot tubs.
At Luccombe Manor, the team has transformed dog-friendly travel with a unique suite of practical and thoughtful touches. Alongside beds and blankets for four-legged guests, there’s now a dedicated dog-wash area with thermostatic shower, a fully equipped prep kitchen with fridge and freezer for food and treats and a secure doggy playground complete with agility equipment – features designed to make holidays with dogs easier and more enjoyable for owners and pets alike.
Clare Farrelly, Director of Luccombe Hotels, added:
“We’re incredibly proud of our team and the passion they bring to everything we do. We’ve worked hard to create spaces where every guest – whether visiting for a romantic break, a family holiday, or a dog-friendly stay – feels genuinely welcomed and cared for. To see that recognised at a regional level is a huge honour.”
