The Isle of Wight Council are attempting to locate the owner of a chihuahua that was found shaven, painted and abandoned on Pan Meadows in Newport earlier this week.
A concerned member of the public took the chihuahua to a vets in Carisbrooke on Monday after finding the animal on Pan Meadows.
Shocking, it has been revealed that the dog was found with shaven and painted fur. The member of the public has reported this to the RSPCA.
The Council’s dog warden has since collected the animal and efforts are now underway to locate it’s rightful owner.
The incident comes at the same time that a local cat owner has taken to Facebook to express their disgust and worry about their pet cat having an item forcibly inserted into the animal’s rectum. The RSPCA and Police have been informed about this incident too.
UPDATE @ 15:50 – The Isle of Wight Council have confirmed that the chihuahua and it’s owner have been re-united! The RSPCA are aware.
I hope Finns Law gets justice for this poor dog!
That only applies for service dogs.. a person’s dog is classed as property.. the police the council and other goverment thugs can take , damage and destroy your property.

If the idiot is ever caught, the RSPCA will spend a fortune on taking court action then all they will get is a tap on the wrist.

I’m absolutely appalled that any so-called human being could do this. In former times they would have found themselves in Whitecroft indefinitely. The perpetrator(s) must be very sad people.
got to name and shame the scum,the legal system never lays down appropriate punishments for animal cruelty.in my opinion it should be treated the same way as child abuse.what would be the sentence for penetrating a child with an object?….certainly not a slap on the wrists!!
