For a 72-hour period from 00:01 on Monday 3rd March. the organisation is opening its application window for anyone who wants to join the service as a wholetime firefighter.
The service is looking for people who can combine a passion to protect and help our communities, with the drive to learn and use lifesaving skills.
Applicants don’t need any prior firefighting experience to join as full training is provided. Having a workforce of different backgrounds, experiences, life skills and approaches helps the organisation deliver a better service and make the community even safer.
Ben Allen, Area Manager People and Operation Development, said:
“Firefighting is more than just a career – it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and protecting what matters most. Whether you’re responding to emergencies, educating the public, or supporting your team, every day is meaningful and rewarding.
“Are you ready to face challenges head-on and make a real difference in your community? Do you have the courage, compassion, and determination to save lives and inspire others?
“We’re looking for people who are ready to bring their strength, resilience, and leadership to the role. If you thrive under pressure and want a career that’s as rewarding as it is exciting, we want to hear from you.”
