Wightlink are advising customers that there may be delays of up to an hour on their Fishbourne-Portsmouth route today (Friday).
The cross-Solent operator has advised that a mechanical issue could affect customers travelling with the company today.
There has been no explanation of what the mechanical issue is or how long the delays are likely to last.

Wightlink apologise for any changes to your travel plans.
UPDATE @ 11:35 – Wightlink say that delays are now up to 90 minutes on their Fishbourne-Portsmouth route.
UPDATE @ 14:25 – The delays have now been reduced to 30 minutes.

Everyday there is problems on this route is it incompetence or is there really technical issues seems bit far fetched to me rekon we should tender it to another company and sack this lot overpriced waste of time and taxpayers money plus no respect for there customers wightlink you really are a shambles

Oh I think we can assume there won’t be any ‘technical issues’ cancellations.
It’s time the ferry’s sorted them selves out every week we get this now
they need someone to look at health and safety on these boats making kids and grown ups to sit on the floor because they are short staffed and the upper deck lounge cannot be openend
