Blackgang-born actress Dame Sheila Hancock has revealed that she was sacked from Channel 4 show Celebrity Gogglebox after quizzing producers about the amount of explicit content she was being forced to watch.
90-year-old Hancock – who appeared on the show alongside Gyles Brandreth – made complaints to producers about the amount of nudity they were having to watch, especially when watching the infamous Naked Attraction where contestants would stand in front of the cameras bearing all.
Hancock – who was born at St Catherine’s in Blackgang, which now forms part of Blackgang Chine theme park – claimed that she told producers that she was enjoying the show but asked ‘do you think we can have anything other than penises?’.
In an interview with The Mirror, Sheila said:
“I used to love doing it with Gyles, but they sacked me from that. Well, they did not ask me back.”
Who cares? Does anyone actually watch this rubbish?
Aprox 3 million every episode is not to be sniffed at. Its a great, funny, entertaining show imho
Only about 2.5 to 4 million viewers, so hardly anybody really.
When you consider the intelligence the average person and that half of the population are less intelligence then 4 million morons watching this crap is no surprise.

Forcing someone to watch porn, in whatever guise it’s sold as for ‘entertainment’, is not acceptable, on any level. Good for her.
