The Price Is Wight, the hugely popular daily deals website, is celebrating its 13th anniversary today (Monday)!
Founded in 2011, The Price Is Wight offers unbeatable deals on the best things to do, see, visit, eat and buy on the Isle of Wight.
Having launched with just 435 subscribers, TPIW now boasts a database of over 85,000 Islanders – and is still growing!
The 5-strong team – Karyn Carson, Alan Carson, Kerstine Andrews, Kara Barbrook and Sol Carson – have achieved incredible results in the last 13 years, delivering great experiences, goods and getaways on a daily basis to customers.
They’ve been a friend of Island Echo throughout, with both local businesses sharing a journey of market disruption and phenomenal growth whilst riding the digital wave.
Karyn, owner and director, says:
“Our success and growth over the past 13 years would not have been possible without the support of Islanders, who have wholeheartedly embraced our passion for discovering the best things to do, see, eat and buy across this wonderful Island.
“As we reach another milestone, we want to stop for a moment and say thank you for checking out The Price Is Wight.”
TPIW has worked with hundreds of Island-based businesses – helping them grow and market themselves in a different way to the norm.
Popular deals normally revolve around beauty, hair, food, spas, entertainment, shopping and family attractions.
These packages are promoted via email marketing, social networking such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – and the best promotional tool…word of mouth.
Karyn adds:
“Our unique selling point is that we care. We work together with the businesses and customers to forge long term relationships.”
“We personally deal with every single person, even if that means answering phone calls from frantic customers desperate to buy a deal at midnight on Christmas Eve.
“Knowing that people are returning to the website again and again, as well as sharing and recommending The Price Is Wight to family, friends and colleagues, is a fabulous feeling and an amazing testament to what we are doing.
“The business has grown to become a household name on the Island. We genuinely love what we do and are proud of what The Price Is Wight has achieved in such a short space of time, all thanks to the lovely people and businesses across our fabulous Island.”
