Police, fire and ambulance crews are responding to a road traffic collision at Gatcombe on the outskirts of Carisbrooke this afternoon (Wednesday).
The incident has taken place near to the former Whitecroft Hospital between Carisbrooke and Chillerton and is thought to involve a motorcycle.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash at just before 16:40.
UPDATE @ 18:15 – It has been confirmed that a motorcycle and a car have been involved in the crash.
The road has re-opened under Police direction whilst they await the arrival of Island Roads to clear a spill from the carriageway.
No one has been seriously injured.
