Waste services
No changes will be made to the collection day of your waste or recycling. Ensure all waste is out by 07:00 (06:30 for Fairlee Road residents) on the day of collection, as routes maybe changed due to roads being affected by traffic diversions.
Garden waste collections are on Friday from 07:00. Garden waste subscribers should have bins presented on Fairlee Road, Halberry Lane, Harvey Road, Cross Lane Gordon Road, Victoria Road, St Paul’s View and Bellmeade Lane from 07:00 as these will be the first collections and will minimise any descriptions to the service.
Newport Cemetery
There continues to be no public access to Newport Cemetery via the Fairlee Road gates due to damage to the structure of the stone arch. All public access to the cemetery is via the steps on The Quay and this will continue during the festival period. Sod your life people if you want to get married or build an extension or die you will have to wait because a useless pain in the ass waste of space music festival is more important this garbage should be banned it causes nothing but disruption on the island not to mention the horrendous dinn that eminates from it the crime rate sky rockets and besides it attracts hoards of humans from all over hell’s creation to the island and there are far too many of them things around as it is
Ha ha ha you need to get put more
What a miserable git you are! It’s only a few days each year for god’s sake. I’ll be there enjoying myself with tens of thousands. Moron!!
well as those councils services are closed for longer over Christmas and Easter,.. I suppose you think those should be banned as well…
Talk about misery guts… like Ditzydotty said, you need to get out more (or perhaps just get a life)
I bet you’re fun at parties
I couldn’t have put it better myself Jok. Just watch the covid rate escalate.
You had to mention the ‘C’ word, pillock!
Would you prefer nobody to ever visit the island? This place is based on tourism, without that there would be no income on the island.
Or is this Roystonvaysie.
“This is a local island for local people, there’s nothing for you here”
So sorry you feel this way Jok. For your information festivals like this bring a lot of trade to local businesses and I have always found the people to be very polite and courteous. I don’t know why you think the crime rate goes up because they are all in the fields enjoying the music. Presumably, you somehow feel that you own the rights to the Island. I must inform you that you are just a guardian of a tiny piece of it whilst you are here. Feel free to visit us on the mainland whenever you like. I am sure you have some interests besides moaning. Just be kind and happy and you will feel so much better for it. I wish toy well Jok.
Perhaps you need to move.
I came from a small village Called Pilton in the 80s AND ITS a big music festival that has grown since the late 70s i still call it pilton pop festival so most will call it Glastonbury even thou its not in Glastonbury . I come to the island 10 plus times a year scooter ralley leisure ecr and this weekend for the music festival .So are you saying no one makes any money out of it and secondly do you never go to the main Land ?? To enjoy time in other parts of the uk ??
Even though I don’t go it’s only once a year for a few days. Thousands enjoy themselves and good luck to them. Hope the weather stays good for them as well. Driving to Newport/Cowes from East Cowes and coming back is no big deal. Stay safe everybody.
Is the Festival over yet!, what sane person would pay over £180 for a couple of days
to watch a load of as beens.
I have a Radio and Youtub etc
Maybe people go to have p*ss thrown over them.
Who cares what you think Terry. Stick to your wireless, or whatever you do.
Never had fun then I’m guessing
BRING BACK BESTIVAL!!
