Coastguard Officers from The Needles and Ventnor were mobilised to Compton in the West Wight this afternoon (Saturday) after a person fell and injured themselves.
The call for help came in at just before 14:40 as a result of the casualty falling on rocks and dislocating their shoulder at the popular tourist hotspot.
First aid was given to the injured individual, who subsequently made their own way to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport for further treatment.
