COASTGUARD RESPOND TO FEMALE ENTERING THE WATER AT SHANKLIN

Coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor responded to reports of a female entering the water at Shanklin during the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

Solent Coastguard requested the assistance of the 2 teams at 01:30 following reports that an individual was in danger at Shanklin Esplanade.

Thankfully, Coastguard Rescue Officers were quickly stood down as Police had arrived on scene and were able to make contact with the individual.
