Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has released CCTV footage following an incident that left a woman ‘distressed’ after she was followed by a man she didn’t know in Ryde last week (Wednesday 3rd April). This incident took place at around 20:00, with the female first encountering the man on Star Street. It is believed the man shouted at the woman throughout the ordeal, but luckily the woman wasn’t hurt. Officers have been supporting the victim, and have been making enquiries in the area including continuing to scope for CCTV. A spokesperson from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“As part of enquiries, we would like to identify the man in this CCTV footage. Do you know him, or have you seen him in the area? “We are also keen to hear from anyone with information about the incident. Did you witness anything? Did you see which direction the man travelled in? Do you have any additional information that could assist our investigation? “Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44240140579, or submit information to us online here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/

The site hosting the video puts adverts up when you pause it. Unable to have a good look at the person. Could you add some stills of the video so we can get a good look???
I paused it to look and thought “wow – useful” when the ads popped up. Bloody silly.
Could be solved by downloading an ap that prevents adverts from being shown.
Sad old men up to no good and they don’t even care
Why have they released you again?. Idiot…
I’m not the sad lonely one I’m not even an old fart compared to a lonely person like your self! the grandkids said hello and your daughter great
Wan king kev was that you in the cctv, it sure is something you would do.
Mummy needs to keep you at home at night, it’s not safe with you on the streets.
Not safe with you breathing leave the kids alone
Someone will know who this is. Do us all a favour and let the cops have his name, next time it could be your daughter or wife and who knows what he’s done before. What a scumbag.
A certain dangerous cretinous man. Since care in the community and SENS being allowed to frequent schools where normal children attend of course we are going to get ever more dangerous odd people free to act out their befuddled mind’s wishes onto normal people.
Asylums were there for a good reason.
Sorry? SEND kids are not ‘normal’ and dangerous? And you repeated that cobblers online?? WHAT an idiot.
karen you are missing the point of willy’s post. What he is suggesting is that these mentally sick adults don’t just ‘appear’ as if by magic, but are likely to have been strange as children, who, as we all see grow into adults.
Whilst few would suggest that little ones singing along to ‘the wheels on the bus’ etc are dangerous, it is these ‘not quite right’ poorly children who will grow up still as strange but with physical desires and being odd many ought to be in secure asylums to protect the normal innocent public.
Try to get off that high horse and think a little deeper when diving in to ‘protect’ the nere do wells in life, as normal people deserve better too.
No, I’m sorry, SEND children are not ‘strange’ or potentially dangerous when grown. SEND children could have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD, hearing loss, sight impairment, physical impairment, epilepsy or whole host of other problems as well as behavioural issues often caused by abuse etc. Those who grow up to commit crimes of a ‘physical nature’ as you quaintly put it have more often than not been apparently normal men with a penchant for porn. These are self-reported facts from prisoners themselves and very few of them ever had an educational diagnosis or needed one. You’re certainly right on one thing though, they are mentally sick and thankfully deep thinkers do lock them up.
Furthermore, given that the gender ratio of SEND after assessment bias is discounted is roughly one to one, if all children are a potential threat as adults, why is it men who commit the crimes? Maybe if you thought a little deeper before opening your mouth you wouldn’t appear so stupid.
Probably the article meant to convey that the woman wasn’t ‘physically’ hurt. But mentally it likely was an ordeal that will be difficult for her to get over.
