A casualty has been pulled from the water following an emergency incident in Ventnor this afternoon (Friday).
HM Coastguard tasked Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams to an area of shoreline in the vicinity of La Falais car park on Ventnor seafront after receiving reports of a person in difficulty in the sea.
On the arrival of Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team, the casualty was pulled from the water and initial care provided to them.
Bembridge CRT, who had also been tasked to act as support for what eas expected to be a technical rescue, were stood down whilst en-route.
The casualty was passed the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service for further care, with teams standing down shortly after.
