Police are investigating an overnight incident in Cowes during which a number of cars had their windscreens smashed in.
Vehicles parked in the vicinity of Mill Hill Road and Victoria Road have sustained damage as a result of an individual – or individuals – committing a series of acts of criminal damage.
It’s said that the incident took place at around 23:00 on Tuesday night.
Local residents say that the area has been ‘tormented’ by youths in recent weeks, something that local neighbour officers are looking into.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed it is continuing to probe the incident and any witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting 44210461223.
If this filth are found, it should have its legs and arms smashed….and left untreated…

The culprits should be heavily punished and as part of the punishment be castrated/sterilised to prevent them them breeding more of the same scum.
While the Constabulary continue to ‘probe the incident’, how about some late night foot patrols in the area. Some high-vis to reassure the public, but also some officers in plain clothes lurking behind walls & trees, that’s the way to catch ’em…always worked in the past !
The Law have no answers or the will, it’s time the people cleaned this filth off our streets…

Just watched a video clip from a country where the people deal with such instances themselves rather than tell the authorities. This particular scum had been caught trying to steal a car. I never knew arms can be broken in so many places. His arms were wobbling about like one of those inflatable tube men!

I hear what your saying & totally sympathize with your very understandable feelings (& I agree), but after spending over 30 yrs front-line Coppering, I still have to look at the legal way of doing things, even if I get frustrated with the system too. When I retired over 12 yes ago, I hoped that good old traditional ways & values would continue, sadly they have not. Go easy out there buddy.

All due to teachers being unable to punish kids in school. The cane, used in a controlled manner, would work wonders.

My car was one that was damaged and I was unable to get to the care home I manage that day. Costing me £115 excess to have windscreen replaced on Friday. My mother is in hospital having had a stroke that night so these idiots have caused me extreme stress
Don’t lock them up, give them the birch, they wouldn’t want that more than once. It’s a deterrent that will actually affect them that’s needed.
The trouble is the do-gooders would stop it happening and it would have to go through a Parliament that has no interest in ordinary people out in the real world. We need borstals back to deal with the ferril brats, but it was the do-gooders that got them all closed up. As far as making the parents pay for the damage is concerned, they would probably plead poverty and say they can’t afford it, even though they are more than likely claiming more in free handouts and benefits than than some mug working all hours trying to keep their heads above water. The police don’t want to criminalise the youth, so they make the right noises and do nothing… the public then loose faith in the police, who have already lost faith in the criminal justice system… and so it continues….

Pretty clear then, your windscreen was not one of the smashed ones. People are getting tired of this low life filth ruining their quality of life and sod all being done, if the proper authorities won’t do it, it’s time to deal with it ourselves. We are all about to get screwed more on our council tax for so called Hants Police Authority and nothing done for it. The police doing nothing are aiding and abetting the problem to continue and escalate even more.
Pitch forks are out. Someone says ‘it was possibly the kids that have been hanging about’ and that is enough for threats of violence against the young to flood in. Until you catch them at it you will not know. The time this happened is around kicking out time at the pubs. This happened a few years ago in Carisbrooke. Turned out to be a 70 year old nutter.
