BUCKET OF WATER USED TO EXTINGUISH LOG FIRE IN RYDE

Firefighters from Ryde were mobilised to reports of a large tree log alight at Appley earlier on this afternoon (Monday).

1 appliance was sent to the scene at 13:44 following a 999 call from a member of the public.

The single crew used buckets of water to extinguish the small fire. They have since returned to station to continue their Bank Holiday shift.
