Breeze, the innovative Mobility-as-a-Service app serving the Solent area, has added Wightlink to its growing list of transport options.
This integration further enhances the app’s mission to provide seamless and sustainable transport solutions to residents and visitors alike.
The addition of Wightlink will allow Breeze users to include ferry travel in their journey planning with the inclusion of foot passenger ferry tickets. As well staying up to date with Wightlink service information, Breeze users benefit from seeing the best onward travel options – whether by train, bus, e-scooter or e-bike.
Councillor Phil Jordan, Deputy Chair of the Solent Transport Joint Committee and Leader of the Isle of Wight Council, has said:
“By providing access to Wightlink through Breeze, the app continues to lead the way in transforming how people move around and across the Solent area. This development now means Wightlink joins Hovertravel as the cross-water options available via Breeze. This not only enhances the convenience for our users but also supports our commitment to simplifying access to transport services.”
Stuart James, Wightlink’s IT and Transformations Director, adds:
“We at Wightlink are always looking at ways of making travel simpler for our customers. The innovative Breeze app will make it easy for everyone to research routes and buy tickets on buses, trains, car club and ebike/escooter rental companies, across the Solent area, as well as Wightlink ferries.”
