Australian software development company, Big Time Gaming, is well known in the iGaming industry, having created the renowned Megaways game engine. Now, having partnered up with casino operator SkillOnNet, the company has launched its own online casino platform.
Megaways Casino went live on 24 March, 2026, relaunching after the original Megaways Casino was rebranded in 2023. The new site will focus on Big Time Gaming’s extensive catalogue of Megaways titles, while also offering a range of other game types and promotions.

Big Time Gaming was founded by Nik Robinson in 2011 and, over the years, has gained a reputation as one of the most innovative slot developers. In 2016, with the release of Dragon Born, Big Time Gaming introduced the world to the Megaways game engine. Later that year, Bonanza launched, taking the world by storm and ensuring that Megaways was the biggest thing in the casino industry.
Since the success of Bonanza, Big Time Gaming has licensed the Megaways mechanic out to other software providers, which has only helped to make the games more popular. As a result of these partnerships, Megaways is now one of the most recognisable and widely licensed mechanics in the iGaming industry.
Big Time Gaming previously sought to leverage the power of the Megaways brand when it linked up with Gamesys in 2021. What do Megaways games offer?
Megaways slots rewrote the rulebook on how online slots operate. For many years, slots mostly followed the same format and layout of slot machines, with five reels, three rows and a set number of paylines. While some slot providers tweaked the formula here and there, things were fairly stagnant until Big Time Gaming released Dragon Born in 2016.
