bestival2015thursday_058KissyPuppy and Earl Mountbatten Hospice raised almost £7500 at this year’s Bestival, in support of children’s services at the Hospice.

The two Island charities joined forces and a team of 32 volunteers sold headbands, glitter butterflies and wristbands to party-goers at the ‘Summer of Love’ themed event. Every penny raised will go towards developing the services Earl Mountbatten is able to offer children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Aaron Rolf and Gemma Blamire, parents of Sophie Rolf and founders of KissyPuppy, praised volunteers for their hard work and selling so much merchandise – even celebrity television presenter Caroline Flack was spotted wearing the wristband during the weekend!

Aaron said:

“Everything we do is in Sophie’s memory but Bestival is particularly special to us and it was really important to make fundraising efforts a success.

“We’re so grateful for all the volunteers’ support as it wouldn’t be possible without them, and of course to Rob Da Bank and the Bestival for being such a huge support to KissyPuppy and our family.”

Alongside the Hospice’s CEO Nigel Hartley, Aaron also took part in a row to Bestival which raised £625 towards the final total.
