Flying doctors from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance are attending a medical emergency in Brading this afternoon (Saturday).
Medics are currently on scene to the rear of The Bugle pub on the High Street, where several crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are working alongside the HIOWAA team.
The yellow and green helicopter has touched down in a field on the corner of Rowborough Lane and Coach Lane – just a few hundred yards from the incident. Police are on scene in the interests of public safety.
2 rapid response vehicles, an operational commander and an ambulance are in attendance having been alerted to what is thought to be a cardiac arrest at around 15:00.
UPDATE @ 16:50 – The patient – understood to be a woman – has been flown directly to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, Portsmouth for specialist treatment.
The incident has now been stood down.

Fantastic service..happy to donate but really we shouldn’t have to ..we’re taxed to the eyeballs and the government just piss our money down the drain half the time
Yeah .Please donate if you get a chance, even if its a small amount. I had a heart attack a couple of years ago and the air ambulance whisked me off to the QA hospital. Heart attack 9am ,ambulance 9.30 ,air ambulance 10 am. QA 10.20. Operated on within minuets. This all happened on a Saturday. After three stents fitted i was home Monday evening . I hope the lady is as lucky as me
