Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has touched down in Freshwater this evening (Saturday) in response to a medical emergency.
The helicopter and it’s flying doctors have landed at West Wight Sports and Community Centre in the last few minutes.
Island Echo understands an ambulance crew from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is awaiting to transfer the poorly patient for onward conveyance to a mainland hospital.
UPDATE – An adult male has been airlifted to a mainland hospital for specialist treatment.
These flying doctors are true heroes. May have saved my life a couple of years ago after a heart attack. Please support them when you can. I pray that the patient gets the help that they need.
