A popular fish and chip shop in Cowes, which was closed back in August, has reopened today (Wednesday) under new management.
As previously reported by Island Echo, it was announced last Summer that the popular takeaway Chip Ahoy on Victoria Road was to close after serving the locals of Cowes for some 30 years.
However, it has now been confirmed that the chip shop is back up and running under the helm of Andrew Pritchard.
Andrew inherited the shop following the death of his late brother, but after the COVID pandemic the premises was led by an entreprenurual staff member until August 2022.
Now, following a period of maintenance and repairs, Andrew has re-opened the takeaway.
The fryers have gone on again this evening with the chippy now open between 17:00-21:00, Wednesday to Saturday – closed on both Mondays and Tuesdays.

Hope they are cheaper than the rip off Corrie’s Cabin.
Thank god for that, Corries cabin is a rip off and really not that great to be honest. I hope the lovely staff go back there though.
