Those travelling to and from the Isle of Wight with Red Funnel face delays of 90 minutes this morning (Friday) due to a technical issue with one of the vehicle ferries.
Earlier on this morning the 05:30 from East Cowes to Southampton was cancelled as a result of a technical woe, which is now having a knock on effect to other crossings.
The 07:15 sailing from East Cowes is expected to be delayed by around 90 minutes, therefore not departing the Island until around 08:45.
At this moment in time it is unclear how severe the technical issue is and whether or not other sailings will be delayed or cancelled.
UPDATE @ 09:20 – Disruption continues this morning but Red Funnel are working to reduce the length of the delays.
The 10:30 from East Cowes to Southampton is expected to be running 30-45 minutes behind timetable.
UPDATE @ 10:20 – Red Funnel anticipate that they will be returning to timetable at 10:30 from Southampton and 12:00 from East Cowes.
The 10:30 from East Cowes is running 90 minutes behind.
