A 50-year-old man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Knighton near Newchurch last night (Sunday).
Police, paramedics and firefighters were mobilised to Knighton Lane at 22:34 following reports that a car had crashed into a bank.
Emergency crews arrived on scene to find the middle-aged gentleman with minor injuries. He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment, where it was discovered he had suffered a fractured sternum.
It has been confirmed that no other vehicles were involved and that no arrests have been made. Black ice is being blamed.
The road has since re-opened.

The road is haunted, strange happenings at Knighton and perhaps the cause of the accident. Nice to see it wasn’t drink or drugs for a change.
